1. The dust particles are angular silica powder. According to the mass calculation, the silica content is 97% -99%, which is composed of the following sizes:

a. 100% through the screen with a pore size of 150μm;

b. 96% ~ 92% pass through a screen with an aperture of 106μm;

c. 88% ~ 92% pass through a screen with an aperture of 75μm;

d. 73% ~ 77% pass through a screen with a pore size of 45μm;

2. The requirements of temperature, relative humidity, wind speed, dust blowing concentration and test duration are shown in the table below.

2. Sand and dust test chamber: sand blowing

1. The grit should be quartz sand. According to the quality calculation, the silica content is more than 95% and consists of the following sizes:

a. 0.5% ~ 1.5% can't pass the sieve with pore size of 850μm;

b. 1.2% ~ 2.2% can not pass through the screen with a pore size of 600μm;

c. 13.8% ~ 15.8% can't pass the sieve mesh with pore size of 425μm;

d. 36% ~ 38% can not pass through the screen with a pore size of 300μm;

e. 27.6% ~ 29.6% can't pass the sieve with pore size of 212μm;

f. 11.7% ~ 13.7% can not pass through the screen with a pore size of 150μm;

g. 4.2% ~ 6.2% can not pass through the screen with a pore size of 150μm;

The grit should be quartz sand with sub-angular structure, with an average roundness factor (Krumbein value) of 0.2 and a Mohs hardness of 7. Aeolian sand in desert areas can be selected for preparation.

2. Sand blowing concentration

a. For test samples that may be used in the vicinity of aircraft (such as helicopters) that may be launched, taxiing, and flying at low altitude on unpaved ground, the sand blowing concentration is 2.2 ± 0.5 g / m³;

b. For test samples used near vehicles traveling on the ground, the sand blowing concentration is 1.1 ± 0.25 g / m³;

c. For test samples that are only affected by natural conditions, the sand blowing concentration is 0.177 g / m³.

3. The requirements of temperature, relative humidity, wind speed and test duration shall be in accordance with relevant regulations.
